Trustee
What is a Trust?
A trust is a legal entity created by one or more persons known as the “trustor" or "trustors.” The trustors transfer ownership of their properties and financial accounts to the trust. They then appoint a “trustee" to manage the trust’s assets according to the terms (or instructions) of the trust. Trustors also name beneficiaries of the trust. Usually, trustors name themselves as the primary beneficiaries and name individuals or organizations of their choosing as secondary beneficiaries.
Our Trustee Services
As trustee, we will carry out the terms of a trust and manage the assets in a trust for the benefit of its named beneficiaries. Trust administration includes paying fees, expenses, and taxes; managing and protecting trust assets; communicating with trustors, beneficiaries, and other parties; distributing trust income and assets to beneficiaries; and any other duties dictated by the trust.
